Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is a vibrant city that beautifully blends history, culture, and modern life. Founded in the 5th century, it has long served as a cultural, political, and economic hub at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. The city is famous for its picturesque setting along the Mtkvari River, surrounded by hills and mountains. The Old Town is the heart of Tbilisi, with winding cobblestone streets, colorful wooden balconies, ancient churches, and traditional sulfur baths that reflect the city’s rich heritage. Today, Tbilisi is not only a historic capital but also a dynamic, cosmopolitan city that attracts students, travelers, and investors from all over the world.
A Word from Participants
Prof Dr Yawar Hayat
Deputy Vice President, Riphah International University, Pakistan“It was a wonderful and worth remembering experience for me. A great platform to interact with experienced colleagues and learn from the vast and diverse expertise and wisdom of the esteemed speakers. The training has brushed my skills and enhanced my knowledge particularly addressing the issues in the context of complex Academic eco system. I would like to congratulate the organisers for hosting such a great event. My heartfelt appreciation to all”.
Rosa Alejandra García
President Elect, Universidad Marista de Guadalajara (Mexico)“I chose this leadership seminar because I believe that being in a leadership position in any organization, but especially in an educational institution, entails great responsibility and, of course, a great need for preparation and updating, and this seminar gives me the opportunity to carry it out. And be able to have more ideas, more clarity on how to enrich my action plan for my new phase as rector. It has been a great experience to be able to listen to great leaders in Educational Institutions; the experience of Rectors and Presidents who have spent many years facing the challenges that educational institutions have in this context and also have the opportunity to interact with them, interact with other peers and share our concerns, but also what our dreams are as institutions of higher education, seems to me an enormous benefit”.
Dr. Engelbert Pasag
Chief Operations Officer, PanPacific University (Philippines)“I’ve been following IAUP over the years and we as an institution joined in 2012 in New York. My President joined IAUP’s Leadership Development Program in Denmark and she actually pushed for me to join this edition. The knowledge she gained are tools that we used to come up with programs so that we could better attend the crisis over COVID-19; how to market our University and also how to cater to our students’ needs, especially in this challenging time. Throughout the sessions we’ve learned a lot of important concepts that I’m certain we’ll be learning how to manage our students and also how to lead in the upcoming years”.
