Jamienne S. Studley

Jamienne S. Studley became President of WSCUC, a US and international accreditor of higher education institutions at the bachelor’s and graduate level, in 2018 to pursue her commitment to student success and equity.

Jamie served with the US Department of Education as deputy undersecretary, acting undersecretary, acting general counsel, and chair of NACIQI (National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality & Integrity) during the Clinton and Obama Administrations. Her higher education experience includes President of Skidmore College; Associate Dean & Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School; national policy advisor to Beyond12, and adjunct faculty member at Mills College and Stanford and UC Berkeley Law Schools. She was also president of the civil rights advocacy group Public Advocates Inc. and executive director of the National Association for Law Placement.

A graduate of Barnard College and Harvard Law School, she has chaired the SF Ethics Commission,  California Civil Rights Coalition and Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund, been a board member of AAC&U and the American Craft Council among many others, and serves now on the boards of KQED and the Foundation for Student Success. WSCUC is a member of the Quality Beyond Borders Group of international higher education quality assurance agencies.
